In alignment with the exhibition To Offer/To Leave guest curated by Kiera McIntosh, we invite you to Union Hall for an evening of performances inspired by William Shakespeare's drama, Hamlet.
In the transcendent presentation, Rosemary for Remembrance, performers Alana Mars and Maria Morera embody the ethereal essence of Shakespeare's Ophelia, bringing a fresh perspective to this often underrepresented character. Their performance, rich in deliberate gesture, movement, and song, elevates Ophelia from the depths of tragedy, inviting the audience into an immersive, dreamlike exploration of her legacy. This production draws viewers into a transformative space — a vivid interlude where every motion and melody breathes life back into the realm once inhabited by Ophelia's spirit. Mars and Morera seamlessly fuse memory and reality, presenting a narrative that not only captivates but resonates, transcending the confines of tragedy to touch something profoundly sublime.
