Union Hall shines a spotlight on emergent voices and promises equitable opportunities for professional development in the arts.

Our story

At Union Hall, we believe ALL artists and creatives deserve to have the time, space, and funds to accomplish their goals and grow their careers.

Founded in 2019, Union Hall is the first non-commercial, non-profit arts space inside of a residential building in Denver. Since we opened our doors inside The Coloradan, we have built a community of ambitious, aspiring new curators, artists, and creative minds that are bringing experimental and thought-provoking work to the city’s cultural landscape. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, Union Hall promotes creative development and fosters equitable opportunities for emerging artists and curators, creating a hub for curiosity, convention-breaking, and creativity.

At our core

  • Union Hall advances opportunities for diverse, emerging artists and creatives, providing a platform for Denver locals and visitors to engage in enriching exhibitions and creative experiences, and serving as a community-focused arts space and culture concierge.

  • To be a creative hub that acts as a springboard for new artists and curators and fosters interdisciplinary connections in the Denver community & beyond.

  • INNOVATION: Union Hall is a flexible and multi-purpose space, featuring rotating exhibitions as well as interdisciplinary events, and bringing together creatives from different disciplines, mediums, and fields to foster innovation and incubate ideas, while continually evolving to meet the needs of the community

INCLUSIVITY: Union Hall is dedicated to equitable arts practices prioritizing Diversity, Equity, Inclusivity, and Accessibility, highlighting a range of different voices and providing free and accessible events

IMPACT: Union Hall supports emerging artists and curators through fair and equitable wages (aligned with WAGE guidelines), professional development opportunities, and collaborative programming, impacting individual artists and the creative community as a whole

INSPIRATION: Union Hall provides fun, thought-provoking, and educational experiences for audiences to engage with the arts
