Join us for an in-person curatorial talk and exhibition tour with Kiera McIntosh, the guest curator behind the 2024 Rough Gems exhibition, To Offer/To Leave. Led by Union Hall’s Chief Curator Esther Hernandez, we will be discussing the concept, inspiration and selected works in the exhibition.

About To Offer/To Leave

To Offer/To Leave, aesthetically and thematically inspired by the tales of Shakespeare’s character Ophelia and Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake, showcases a moment in time after a decision of withdrawal has been made. By interweaving a selection of works from artists such as Daphne Sweet, Lindsay Smith Gustave, Drew Austin, Arthur Williams, Agnes Ma, and Robin Gammons; the exhibition incites a romantic fever dream that honors a shared melancholy. Through the thoughtful inclusion of light, sound, and aromatic sculpture the viewer plays witness to the tale before them within a space contemplation.

To Offer/To Leave is on view through Saturday, March 16, 2024.
