For the second installment of the Coloradan Speaker Series at Union Hall, we take a deep dive into the creative industry of fashion. Taking a global approach, Alexander Ablola (founder of Mars in Scorpio and our current exhibiting artist) will lead a panel-style discussion featuring Denver-based fashion experts representing diverse roles and experiences in the industry.
Fashion generates $1.2 trillion per year globally, with more than $250 billion spent annually on fashion in the United States. A broad view reveals that in our current moment, the fashion industry is a major hub of creative production, including but not limited to the production and sales of clothing. From the pages of magazines to local boutiques to art installations at major museums- the fashion industry employs creatives of all kinds, and spurs collaborations in many artistic modes across many global industries.
Join us to learn more about the current state of the fashion industry and where our local experts see it going. Can fashion change our world?
