Union Hall is one of the 4 sites chosen to participate in the culminating moments of Jonathan Saiz’s Denver Art Museum exhibition #WhatisUtopia. Please join us anytime during open hours on January 4 (10am-6pm) to receive your own piece of Saiz’s installation.
Comprised of a column covered with 10,000 tiny drawings, paintings, and sculptures #WhatisUtopia was on view at the Denver Art Museum from May 12 to November 17, 2019.. By definition, utopia is “an imagined community or society that possesses highly desirable or nearly perfect qualities for its citizens.” Saiz employs social media to spark conversation and document responses about our ability to re-envision and embody a modern utopia. More than 10,000 artworks were made to be given away after the end of the exhibition!
Union Hall is pleased to extend Jonathan Saiz's invitation to join his dialogue about utopia, and take home a piece of the magic. You can engage through Instagram at @utopia_is_free with the hashtag #WhatisUtopia or #JonathanSaizatDAM.
