Join us for an evening of guided meditation in the gallery! This event is free, but please RSVP below to reserve your spot.
This group meditation will be guided & facilitated by Matthew Abraham. Matthew learned to meditate formally 5 years ago, and his practice has been daily ever since. He recently started leading group meditation sessions with coworkers in his office and is eager to create a similar humble, open space for Denverites to share stillness and discussion. In his spare time, he makes music as FOURTHSTATE.
Session Agenda:
The first fifteen minutes will be spent slowing down and getting settled. If you’re new to meditation or would like a refresher on the fundamentals, come at 6:00pm for a simple introduction.
The meditation will begin at 6:15pm sharp so if you’re running behind, please do not enter the room after this time. The meditation will be a simple & accessible, breath-based mindfulness, and last 15 to 25 minutes, partially guided by Matthew.
There will be an open discussion for the remainder of the time.
Both chairs & floor cushions will be provided, though feel free to bring your own cushion if you have one. If you'd like to sit on a cushion, wear clothes that will allow you to comfortably sit cross-legged.
