Flags for Your Nation: flag making workshop with Steven Frost

What kind of visual rhetoric best represents your community? Join artist Steven Frost for an intimate workshop focused on the conception and creation of your own personal flag. This one day course will challenge you to learn new technical skills and explore conceptual techniques via design exercises. Each participant will construct and bring home their own ready to display (24”x32”) flag.

Steven Frost is the founder of the Colorado Sewing Rebellion, an offshoot of the original Sewing Rebellion founded by Frau Fiber (Carole Francis Lung). He is a co-founder of the Experimental Weaving Residency (Boulder, CO). He holds an MFA in Fiber and Material Studies from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and is an instructor in the Media Studies Department at the University of Colorado, Boulder.
