Join us for an in-person curatorial talk and exhibition tour with Jenny Nagashima, the guest curator behind the 2023 Rough Gems exhibition, Sacrum. Led by Union Hall’s Chief Curator Esther Hz, we will be discussing the concept, inspiration and selected works in the six person exhibition.

About Sacrum

Sacrum unravels the layers of intimacy surrounding the universal yet unnamable sensations experienced in the womb and the complications that arise in the pursuit of recreating those feelings in our daily lives. The artists in Sacrum— Ariella Asher, Emily Zeek, Jenna Annunziato Jess Díaz, Kimberley Bianca, and Summer Jean King— address the conflict between comfort and protection through nuanced demonstrations of this universal experience and how it shapes the way we engage with community on a micro and macro scale.
